Day 3

Missed posting yesterday. This daily update idea may take some getting used to. Here’s a picture of Day 2, which is pretty much the same as today.

School started for Cindy and I today. Fast food is so dang easy and quick, and on days like today, where the kids are requiring extra attention, I’m working and have class, and Cindy’s got class too, making meals almost becomes and afterthought. Case in point, discussion of “what’s for dinner” started at 6:45pm, which happened to be right as we left Walmart with Carter whining and Cylie crying for food/out of her car seat. Nothing ready at home and there’s Wendy’s staring us in the face.

And that’s how I ended up with a small fry, grilled chicked sandwich, Diet Coke, and a kids frosty. Loss: Ate fast food when I should have just passed. Win: got a grilled sandwich instead of a bacon double burger. Still didn’t choose the salad though.

Tomorrow’s a new day. Nice part about taking it day by day is being able to work in 24 hour periods. Day 3 wasn’t ideal, Day for can be. Same with Day 5, etc. This is a permanent change I’m shooting for, not a quick-fix “get it perfect for 90 days” type of things. Some days will work better than others, but the goal is to have every day work.

Day 1

I’m going to lose 90 pounds in 9 months.

That’s the goal. That’s the plan. I’ve actually been planning on starting this for a little over a month, when I saw that my weight was approaching 280 pounds. Yuck. I did dial that down to about 270ish, as of a week ago.

By October 1st, 2010, I want to weigh between 180 and 190 pounds. This means I need to be actively losing about a pound every three days, which is reasonable. This means a fundamental change in what I eat and an increase in the type of physical activity I do every day.

That’s me at just a little over 270 pounds. Not for long though.
